CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF RADIO AND TELEVISION BROADCASTING SERVICES – APRIL 15, 2025
The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) is a Statutory body mandated to regulate the broadcasting industry in Zambia. Pursuant to Section 20 (1) of the IBA (Amendment) Act No. 26 of 2010, the IBA now invites applications for the provision of Radio Broadcasting Services in different parts of the country.
Below are the specified areas with the available number of Radio frequencies for NEW stations:

Requirements
(i) Cover letter
(ii) Filled-in IBA Application Form which can be downloaded from: www.iba.org.zm/applicationform
(iii) A Business Plan (NEW ENTRANTS)
(iv) Strategic Plan for stations applying for expansion (ONLY)
(v) Commercial Applicants should submit a Certificate of Registration and Shareholders Certificate from PACRA
(vi) Commercial Applicants should submit Curriculum Vitae (CVs) and certified copies of IDs for both the shareholders and beneficial owners
(vii) Community applicants should be registered Cooperatives, Faith-based or Non-Governmental Organisations
(viii) Community applicants should submit a Certificate of Registration from the Registrar of Societies with accompanying Constitution or Certificate of Registration from PACRA (Limited by Guarantee), with accompanying Articles of Association
(ix) A programming schedule that reflects the nature of the station, and
(x) A Non-refundable application fee of K3, 000.00 (Community stations)
(xi) A Non-refundable application fee of K5, 000.00 (Commercial stations)
NOTE: Kindly check the full list of existing licensed broadcasting stations on the IBA website www.iba.org.zm to avoid duplication of names.
APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET ALL THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
